Wireless Range Extender Setup Guide

Pair your repeater to the main router network, extend coverage, and eliminate dead spots.
Range extenders capture the Wi-Fi signal from your main router and rebroadcast it. They are ideal for pushing wireless coverage into hard-to-reach rooms.
1

Proximity Setup Position

Plug the range extender into an electrical outlet in the same room as your main router. Do not place it in the dead zone initially.

2

WPS Push Button Pairing

Press the WPS button on your main router. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your extender. Wait for the Link LED to turn solid.

3

Alternative Manual Configuration

If WPS fails, connect your laptop to the extender's default setup Wi-Fi (e.g., Netgear_EXT), open a browser, and follow the local web setup helper.

4

Relocate Extender

Unplug the paired extender and move it to a power outlet roughly halfway between your main router and the Wi-Fi dead zone.

5

Verify Range Link LED

Check the connection light on the extender. It must show a good signal (usually green/blue). If amber or off, plug the extender closer to the router.
